Press F4 with the game running to bring up the controller overlay. Do this in Training mode to test it out first.
If you are not able to configure your controller with the overlay for whatever reason, close the game and open CCCaster then press 6 and bind from there.
Note: Bindings set in CCCaster are considered separate from MBAA.exe.
Make sure that you make exceptions for cccaster.v3.0.exe, concerto.exe & MBAA.exe in your antivirus AND your firewall before you set the game up.
When extracting or trying to run the game, my Anti-Virus program flags it up as a Trojan/Threat/Virus.
This is a false positive due to how CCCaster runs its updater and connects to a server for hosting without port forwarding. This can be safely ignored. If you are finding that your Antivirus Software is deleting the CCCaster files, make sure to set an exception and redownload the files.
Manually update your CCCaster to the newest version by replacing files. ()
Yes, but it shouldn't be a concern. Every other peer-to-peer game just does the exchange behind the scenes. You can also use lobbies to play online through CCCaster or Concerto to avoid posting IPs in Discord.
Whenever you connect to someone, look at the network delay, and use that as the number you set for rollback (up to 4), and the rest of the network delay, put it into input delay. If there isn’t any leftover network delay, set input delay to 0.
CCCaster includes automatic hole-punching to avoid the need for port forwarding. However, not every connection will work. Your first steps should be:
Make sure your antivirus setup is not interrupting Concerto or CCCaster.
Run as Admin.
Switch who is hosting. If you are in a lobby, this means swap who is sending a challenge to the other player.
Open a dedicated port for online play. If successful you will be able to host reliably using the port (enter the "online play port" in Concerto's Options screen to use it). . Any port can be specified.
Connections in some regions do not have an IPv4 address assigned by default (). Since CCCaster requires IPv4 you need to request "dual-stack" or dedicated IPv4 address from your ISP. A common alternative is to use a VPN which adds latency.
